Otherwise entitled: Never again.
Daniel (my brother, who met me in Krakow, for those that don’t know) and I went to Auschwitz first thing Monday morning. Literally there are no words that can describe the feeling that overcomes you as you walk through the doors. The few photos I took can speak for themselves, but I didn’t take a lot of photography— the place seemed sacred, and silent, in a way. I spent the morning alternating between feeling like I was going to throw up (in the gas chamber) to holding back tears when we saw what must have been over a thousand pairs of suitcases and shoes. Truly, it was horrific. Everyone should experience this once in their life. Never again.
